Greetings in the matchless name of Jesus Christ our Lord.  It is with profound joy and thanksgiving that we pause and observe the centennial celebration of the Eastern Star Baptist Church.  We truly count it a blessing to be your servants at such a significant milestone in the life of this church.  Now, for over 100 years, Eastern Star has served as a beacon light for this community in proclaiming the Gospel of Jesus Christ.  One hundred years of perpetual service to the people, “to God be the glory for the things He has done.”
I wish to thank my God for the Eastern Star Church family and the kind way in which you have received my wife and me as pastor and wife by his side.  It is my mission to equip, encourage, empower and unite the members of this great church to impact individuals, families and communities for the rebuilding of lives from the inside out.  As shepherd of this flock, it is my commitment to be a pastor of personal integrity and of spiritual priority.  I am committed to excellence of communicating the truths of scripture and the person of Jesus Christ in an accurate, clear and practical manner.  My desire for the members of the Eastern Star Baptist Church is for them to grow in understanding of God’s plan for their lives and to live in such a way that is pleasing unto Him.
This centennial recognition is a time of rejoice, in God’s faithfulness and for the privilege of serving Him; to remember, restate, refresh and renew our commitment to the purpose of God’s calling.  We rejoice and thank God our Savior as we celebrate 100 years of perpetual service by the Eastern Star Baptist Church.  “Again I will say, rejoice!”
Yours in Christ,

Terry L. Gosa
